the NMN link is for the tru Niagen just FYI...

Great article and love the science. Important connection to decreasing CD38 so thank you for that. I would also love clarity on the link to GLUTATHIONE as so many people talk about NAD+ in the context of supporting/precursor to GLUT vs decreasing CD38. I'm sure you cover this in another article...

Also would reiterate to your readers that 3rd party testing and ISO certified labs are what you should look for in quality supplement.

Thanks for this - and yes, testing, COAs, and certified labs are all important. I usually hit consumerlab.com to check their test results for supplements also.

I agree with you. Great article it has more detail than I can get from my own company on it. You can get the product from LifeExtension.com or LEF.org that product is NAD+Cell regenerator. It is their best selling NIAGEN nicotinamide riboside formula.

Nadostat (also known in research as TNB-290) is also an interesting thing to keep an eye on.

So would you still take NAC with this? Thanks

I tend to take NAC when I need to boost glutathione, such as when I'm getting sick or am run down. Personally, I don't take NAC daily right now, but everyone is different on whether they are likely needing to constantly increase glutathione (genes, environment) or need NAC for COPD - here's more: https://www.geneticlifehacks.com/glutathione/

I take it every day. N-Acetyl Cysteine. It helps my respiratory system that was compromised by taking a Covid vaccine. Swanson’s now offers it in 1000 MG.

Thank you for an interesting article. I really enjoy the molecular depth. Great!

While a little more expensive, I prefer the supplements you suggested from NootropicsDepot; they do incredible sourcing and 3rd-party testing. It would be interesting to know the impact of direct NAD+ supplementation (and 5-Amino-1MQ).

I do like the Nootropics Depot brand.

The Amazon links are more for a picture/reference for what the supplement is, rather than a recommendation of the brand. I figure that everyone can read reviews and pick a brand that they like best, but thanks for the reminder that I need to state that in each article.

That said - the links are usually to whatever brand I last ordered for myself :-)

I haven't seen much in the way of studies that convince me that NAD+ direct supplementation is worthwhile. The microplastics problem in IV bags has me leery of doing IV drips.
